question

Hi. I will be habing the Lap Band in January. I havent' thought much about having plastic surgery. Does everyone need it after they lose weight? I need to lose about 70-80 pounds. I really hope I won't need it.
Thanks

I have heard that it all depends on your age, and how much exercise you do while you lose weight. AND, if you lose to fast, there is no way for your skin to keep pace with the fat loss...

So, presumeably, if you lose at a nice even pace 1-2 pounds per week, and you exercise while you do it - and you are still young enough to have some natural elasticity to your skin - you might not need it.

:]

I agree with Rene, however, if you have more to loose...such as myself who wants to lose about 150 pounds, then I don't think even slow weight loss with a sensible exercise routine will make the skin shrink. I KNOW I'll need to have plastic surgery when all is said and done. My 3 pregnancies really did a number on my belly, so I will definately get a tummy tuck at the end of this journey. I'm going to get a breast augmentation, too. I've been jipped in that department for all my life and will fix that, too. LOL.
