I'm still very swollen, so don't judge results just yet (though I'm very happy!) Dad says my upper thighs will still go down by 30% or so. Attached is a before and 2 week post-ops of both legs and a close up of the scar (which is well placed, don't you think?)
The before (before both thigh surgeries):
And the two week post-op afters of the inners:

OK, now that I look at these pics, I have to tell you, honestly, they look so much better in person. I don't know if it's the harsh lighting or what. I think part of it that doesn't come through is that I'm really very small now. Like, I'm wearing size 2P pants now, which is hard to tell from the pics, due to the proportions.

I do have another question for you. I went to see my band doctor yesterday about getting a lower profile port at the same time as my TT. At first she said that there wasn't a lower profile port that it was a rumor. Anyway, I got her to call her sales rep and she said that there was one. Big Surprise! I'm not exactly confident of this doc, she is not the doc that did my surgery. He left town. Anyway, she has privileges at the surgery center where I will have my TT, but she said that the surgery center isn't approved for the band?! She will work on it and get back with me in a week. Is this another case of she doesn't know what she is talking about? I know that your dad put in your lower profile port, did he had to get approved by the band company? I'm not sure what to make of this or her. My PS is also a general surgeon, I'm wondering if I should just ask him to do it or what. What do you make of all this? Also, I will start a Pay It Forward thread, but it may be a week or so before I do. I want to think about it a little more. Glad you're doing so well!

Karey,
I'm not sure what I think about your port situation. Now, a few more weeks out, if I had to do it again, I'd still change my port, but in all honesty it doesn't make a very big difference on me. I can still see it naked, though I can't see it through clothes anymore. It's a subtle difference. I'd hoped it'd be greater, but then again, it's "my fault" for electing to keep it on top of the muscle. As to your choice in doctors, my feeling is that port replacement is super simple, in terms of technical skill. General surgeons and plastic surgeons are not normally Inamed approved for port replacement, but they install very similar ports all the time for other types of patients. It didn't concern me at all to let a PS do it. It wouldn't concern me to let a doc who didn't know there was a LP port do it either -- I think it's a "no brainer" kind of procedure. Now, whether I'd want a surgeon who wasn't well informed as to the band to operate on me in general is another question. But the port replacement itself doesn't raise a flag for me.

OK, first, that Tummy is fabulous!!! Wow, your dad must be top notch.
I cannot believe the thigh pics are only two weeks out! What a dramatic difference. they look great! I would not mind having a scar down my leg like that at all, I don't really wear anything above the knee anyway so it would never show.
You must feel like a different person without the legs flapping the the breeze!

Julie those scar as sooo neat!! Does it feel strange when you look down and get an eyefull of that amazing bod?
Your dad must be so proud of you, you were already very successful and now you look amazing as well, I bet he is fit to bust!
I think you should show us a bikini full body shot when the swelling has gone down :) I know that if I had your body I would be wearing a bikini to the supermarket!!

Lest anyone think PS is all fun and vanity, I've developed seromas (pockets of fluid accumulation that are too big for the body to absorb) in both of my legs. I just had way more fluid with this surgery than with the others and though it was time for the drains to come out (they were really irritated), my body is still making fluid that now has to be drained by needle.
The joy of this, is that I have to do it myself, since I'm back home in NYC (PS in AL, you'll recall). Ah, such a delight. My Dad showed me exactly how to do it and made me practice before I left, but it's NOT FUN, particularly for a non-medical person such as myself.
He says it SHOULD resolve within 10 days or so, but let me tell you, YUCK. (The good news is, it's not particularly painful to do the draining as I don't have much feeling near the incision on my legs anyway. It hurts more to let the fluid build up to where the spots on my legs are tight to the touch.)
It's an annoyance more than anything, I guess, but I do find it depressing as well. Diane, how long did it take to get your seromas under control?
