Well it all depends. Your situation may be a bit different because the type of tumor may dictate when you have your surgery. Most doctors recommend not having any plastic surgery until a year after reaching your goal, because during that time the skin does regain some elastcity and shrink. Not all the way, but some what. Then the plastic surgery can achieve the best results.
Now a tumor removal is something different. It is similar to a question I had about apron removal. If it needs to be done before all the weight is lost, then are you prepared to have more surgery when you have reached goal? If so than having the surgery before you reach goal is a fine thing to do.
Is the tumor malignant? Or just a hinderance and a possible future risk?
