Carol | Hey Carol, is that $5,000 canadian or US dollars?

Woo Hoo! That means it's like $3,000 U.S.! I love Canada. Except you probably have to pay PST and GST tax, which ends up being like 17%. I think you can get your GST tax back when you cross the border again, though. I'll check into it. Looking forward to seeing the website when you list it.

Puddin Pie...sorry for the delay in replying.....here is the website http://www.tcclinic.com/
We have to pay only GST in Canada for this type of expenditure.
Good Luck.

Thanks, Carol. I just looked at the exchange rate and it aint what it was 3 years ago when I lived in Canada! I used to get $1.38 Canadian, on average, for every US dollar. Now it's only $1.12.

Funny man you blow me away girl. I have wanted to get rid of the apron for over 32 years since son was born. It is a thing that has a life of it's on when I would lose it stayed the same when I gained it gained first and over the years it has just gotten larger. There have been times I have been smaller lol. But what I started out to say you are a brave women I have never gotten anything done because could not get enough courage up to let a sur. look at my belly and just never would check into it,and always felt like I needed to be to goal weight before I tried. Now I find out that I may have had this done before goal and would have been better off. Go for it girl!!! I would lose mine in a heartbeat, have always been afraid of cost and knew ins. would not pay. What is the difference in cost by going to Mexico? I know that every location is different but never have had the courage until now to even look into it. You have given me that courage because if there is anything I want more than being at goal weight is to lose that awful thing hanging from my waist. Thanks for the hope. Judy

Getting close. And I am starting to get nervous. I looked at Rob last night and said "omg i only have two weekends before I go to have my surgery!" He just smiled and said "better get drinking!" LOL such support. :) I am really excited though. Can't wait to get down there and see how things go.
Any of you who have gone to dr. cardenas for PS, can you answer a question for me? We are flying in the night before my surgery. Do you have to restrict your diet the day before? what time was your surgery? Did they do any tests or did he talk to you before the surgery? Or was it like you met him, went in, and got cut up?

I am not brave. just desperate LOL
When I went to a surgeon here in tampa and asked about having the procedure he said that it would run approx 15k plus hospital stay expenses. No thanks. My surgery in mexico with dr. cardenas is going to cost me approx 4200, and our plane tickets cost about 1k and our hotel is going to cost us about 400-500. lots cheaper LOL

Dr. Cardenas works closely with my future LAP-BAND ® doctor and he was recommended to me. I went to him through www.ready4achange.com and let them know what I wanted to have done. They set it all up, and are FABULOUS people!! I cannot say enough good things about Alma! she has put up with me being scatterbrained, and answering all of my crazy questions. LOL

I have not been there yet. Only talked to them on the phone and on the internet. But I have spoken with many people who have been to that area, used my LAP-BAND® doctor, and been in that hospital. they all have nothing but perfect things to say. i have not seen one bad thing

Good luck with your upcoming surgery Funny Duddies. I will be looking into this surgery next year. I will be watching for any updates after your surgery to see how all goes. Since I will be self pay too, I will probably head back to Mexico.

City: Houston State: Tx | Hi FunnyDuddy, I just had a question for you if you don't mind. What is the reason for you doing the tummy tuck before the band surgery? You might have already explained this in a previous thread, but I have not come across it. I would like to have the procedure done in the future sometime, but was curious about you having it done now. Thank you and have a good day. |
