What happens when you reach your goal weight? do they unfill you so you dont lose more weight. Or do they keep you slightly filled. I have been wonderfing about that. I will ask my dietician when I go to see her again..

thanks Julie

You stay filled, or you'll almost certainly gain your weight back.

It's very rare to get underweight from being banded... at some point the amount you're eating will be just the right amount to sustain you at a weight you want. And it's really easy to get in an extra 100-200 cals per day without getting unfilled, if you need it.

You don't get unfilled. You will need to go back once every 6 months or so for a minute top up, as some of it can leak out over time and if you don't get those top ups, you can end up with less restriction and put weight back on.

Once you reach goal, you do something super special to celebrate and then get on with living the life you always told yourself you would when you lost all the weight. Some people even give consideration to cosmetic surgery.
