another newbie!

Hi! I'm new, first of all. And I'm still working on getting approved with my health insurance. I know I will, it just takes time. Which I'm sure you're all familiar with!

I have to say, that you all are SUCH an inspiration to me. Wow! I never knew there were so many other people that understand this struggle, and you are all SO positive! Just wanted to say thanks for being here, and keep on rockin'!

I'm new here too, I'm really glad I found this forum! My decision to try to get a Lap Band has come about really fast and it's been very interesting reading the posts here. I lost about 50lbs doing my own diet and exercise thing and decided I needed something more, another tool. The following week I went to a seminar, the week after that I had a consultation, and this week I'll see the nutrionist for the 1st time to start my dr. supervised 6 month diet.

I think I have less than a year on my mom's insurance so the doctors have been very helpful in working extra fast with me on this. It's exciting and I hope I can get approved for the surgery quickly!
