Any Advice?

Hi Im new here, I am 17, and weigh alittle more then 250 and I have been thinking about getting the band. I just wanted to know how you all feel about it and If you like it?

I have a little fear of getting it done because im alittle afraid of something being inside of me. But im sure ill get over it.

So if anyone could give me some advice on if i should get this or not, and some stories and how you had to change your life im sure I can make up my mind and change my life.

Thanks
Xoxo

P.S. Congrats to all of you Iv seen some of your before and after pictures and you are all looking greaT!

Welcome to BandLand CollieFlower5....

You have some good questions that many Bandsters can help answer from their own experience. There are many threads discussing in detail exactly what you ask.

I wish this was available when I was 17. That was when John Kennedy was still president, seems like long ago....I graduated high school weighing 259.....and while there were periods of lesser amounts, the trend was upUpUP.....

So this year I'm actually lower weight than all those decades ago. If the procedure had been available then, I don't know if I would have been wise enough to realize how much I really was going to need it.

Read widely, do your research, ask more questions. Ultimately the final choice is up to you and your surgeon....after age 18 of course....
