One can stop taking protein shakes once they reach the stage of solid foods. Instead of shakes try to get the daily intake of protein from solid food and a good whey protein powder. One can find proteins in beans, meat, eggs, dairy products, fish, fruits and vegetables, cereals, etc. My friend visited her doctor Dr. Nilesh Patel at LAP-BAND® Austin last month and consulted him regarding the drinking of protein shakes. He only suggested one can replace it with other items and can take shake every alternate day, if she wishes too. |
