I'm getting banded on feb 26th. Is anyone else out there getting banded on that day? If so, wanna be friends?

I am getting banded on the 27th, is that close enough? I think it is great to have people who are close to the same day to be friends with. I met someone on the board, in the geographical section, who is having surgery right before me. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.

Hi NYNM,

Yay! I'm so glad to meet someone at the same stage as me! Are you on any type of pre-op diet? My doc just has me on low carb, but didn't give me any real instruction as to what exactly "low carb" meant. Just told to eat low carb diet 2 weeks prior to surgery. How are you doing otherwise?

Ms. Bee, if it helps to give you a guideline to go by, my doctor had me on no more than 30 gms of carbs a day excluding green leafy vegetables (yes there are carbs in veggies but I didn't have to count those).

I'm getting banded on the 26th also!! I'm so excited and anxious at the same time!!!! I go for my pre op at the hospital on Friday .I've already had my final appt with my surgeon this past Wed. I'm ready to go!!

I'm getting banded on the 21st, I hope that's close enough to be friends too! Then again, I feel a special bond with all the Victorious Valentines here!

I'm due for surgery on 26th too.

I'm on the 26th too!! I am sooooo excited!!!

I've been on NO pasta, bread, rice, or potatos since the 14th. Of course those are all the things I love....but the diet hasen't been all that bad. I'm just ready for TUESDAY!!!!

I am getting banded 02/26/08 at Windber as well. They haven't given me my time. We will have to stay in touch. How are you doing with your diet? It has been extremely difficult for me.
