Changing my ticker.

I decided I'm going to change the starting weight on my ticker. I lost 20 pounds on WW before I had my first appt for the LAP-BAND®. I've been using the starting weight I had at the time of the appointment, but now I feel like I'm cheating myself out of credit for the 20lbs. So, don't be alarmed if my ticker suddenly shows a bunch more weight loss than I had the day before. LOL

Go for it. I'd coun't any pound possible. Infact I for one post my before weight as the weight I had at my pre-op consult which I had intentionally inflated by eating a larger than normal meal just before going to weigh in. whereas my "current weight" reflects my weight at home first thing in the morning with no clothes on. So I'm probably inflating my weight loss by around 5-8 pounds as well. But I'm sticking to it and if anyone has a problem I'm not going to worry about it.

I actually used the starting weight for the surgeon that I started with in October 2007. That I feel is when I re-started this journey so that is MY starting weight. It is when YOU decided to take this step, that is the weight you use. Now if I were to use my highest, that would be, mmm, when I was 2 days prior to giving birth to the girls, nope doesn't count.

LOL - Great Idea! if I bumped my starting weight up to my pregnancy high that would put me over the 100 pound lost category but then again I agree that's pushing the envelope further than I'm willing to go. Honestly one of the main reasons I use the weights I do is I don't have a more accurate starting weight than what I got that day in the docs office and I'm not about to add 5+ pounds to what I see on the scale in the morning just to make it a more accurate reflection as to what I lost in other people's eyes. And if it boosts my spirits to think I may have lost a couple more pounds than I really have who does it harm?

You guys are too funny, I wish I could get back to my highest pregnancy weight of 198 lbs. Pregnancy wasn't kind to me. I lost weight both times. But hey, it was worth it, two beautiful, talented and wonderful kids.
