Question About Hiccups?

Hello gentlemen, quick question. I was banded on March 1st with the new Realize Band from Johnson and Johnson. I was on the liquid diet for a few weeks and then went to pureed. My question is over the past few weeks, I have gotten the hiccups really bad after eating a couple of times. I think it is related to over eating and needing to learn portion control. I have not gotten sick yet but uncomfortable. Any thoughts? Also if you have any types on what I can eat on the soft food diet would be greatly appreciated. I have the list from the surgeon but tips from others who have been there is beneficial too.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your input.

I get hiccups if I get a bit stuck on something. I'll get discomfort, then sliming (lots and lots of saliva) and then suddenly really violent hiccups. The hiccups seem to clear the blockage.

One of my full signals I get from my body is a very small hiccup. If I am not paying attention I will miss it. It is not a violent thing, however, I have had those very briefly while hung up on something. I have not had the PB thing happen and hopefully never will. I try to chew like a fiend and most of the time i get things down pretty well.

I haven't had much in the way of hiccups except a few times when I DID swallow ONE MORE BITE.....ignoring the 'soft stop' signal....

Hiccup is air trapped that your body is trying to expel. You need to learn how to make yourself burp to clear the hiccup. Not sure how to explain, but it works, once you learn the trick.

You will learn much after your swelling is completely gone and you have been adjusted at least two times. That is when the fun starts.
