Yes Wasa, I am a patient coordinator. | At least you are honest about it, you put it right there in your sig. The scummy low lifes that pose as patients and don't tell others that they are making a commission off of unsuspecting people are the folks that annoy me. Those that come up with multiple IDs to pose as lots and lots of happy patients, they make people think the doctor has more patients than he really does. We've caught people doing that lots of times. There is one doctor that used to pose as a patient and tell everyone how great and good looking he is. He just kept forgetting which ID he was posting under. On a Yahoo group he forgot he was posing as a patient and was speaking as himself. That was pretty funny, they are still making fun of him for that.
I don't have a problem with coordinators, I have a problem with the liars that send people to crappy doctors just to make a buck. |

Wasa,
I'm sure there are some "Bad apples", but I think most of us coordinators are honest and have chosen to do this work to help others. We've been there and know what it's like. Do we get paid? Yes. It is a job and we don't do it for free. We work hard and often spend our own money for advertising, websites, etc. This is by far, at least for me, the best and most rewarding job I have ever done! |

Alex installed new software that catches multiple accounts under the same IP address and that cut down the problems a great deal.
Patient coordinators posing as happy patients are one reason I wrote the thread in my sig link. At least it gives people a way to research and verify information they are told for themselves. They don't have to depend on anyone posting on a message board for information.

I had my surgery on Saturday Oct 18th with Dr Jose Rodriguez in Juarez. I had scheduled everything with Jessica and BeLite and everything went as planned and exactly like Jessica said it would go. I flew into El Paso by myself on Friday night. I will admit that I had gotten myself kinda freaked out about going into Mexico at night. But, Sergio had already called me earlier in the day so I had his number for when I landed. By the time I got off the plane he was already waiting for me. Very nice and courteous man. He will answer whatever questions you throw at him.
Testing started the next morning. Started my iv, drew blood, EKG, chest xray and pulmonary function test. I was in surgery by 11am. Was up and walking within a few hours. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this to anyone that is considering going to Dr J. Rodriguez. I met all the drs before my surgery. Dr Rod, his psychologist and the anesthiologist. I think I saw the psych doc at least twice before I left and then Dr Rod will also come by before you are discharged.
if anyone has questions please just ask me. good luck to all! |

I had my band in Mexico and I am almost completely full on my band. Tomorrow they are going to see if they can put extra in the band this will make my 5th fill. I am truely disappointed by this experience, it has been 4 MONTHS! You really have to be careful where you go!

Hey All,
I had my surgery done in Monterrey Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut. It was a great experience and no problems at all. I would recommend it to everyone of my friends. Check it out. Dr Rumbaut has had his LAP-BAND® for 11 years and has done well over 6000 surgeries. Obesity Surgery Center - Dr. Roberto Rumbaut

I'm so sorry, that isn't one of the better places in MX.
If you PM me I'll see if I can help with the fill issue. We might need to rule out a few problem areas first.

Matter of fact, IMHO he's one of the two best surgeons. He is extremely good.
The only problem I have with him is his office staff. I have referred many many people to him and when they call they are not treated well. If they can just get beyond the staff Rumbaut is fantastic!

Did you know that many surgeons that are now placing the LAP-BAND® were trained in MEXICO by MEXICAN DOCTORS? |
