Looking for post-op surgeon in North Florida

Does anyone know of a doctor in North Florida (Gainesville) who will work with patients who had surgery in Mexico? I had surgery with Dr. Ortiz in May of 2006 and have been doing well (72 lbs gone).

I had arranged for post op care prior to surgery, but I have relocated for work, and would prefer to not drive the 3+ hours to that facility. I am concerned that I may have streched my pouch, and would like to follow up with a surgeon. I am new to the area, can anyone help? I am trying to avoid fill center's because I have not heard much positive about them, and I have not had a responce when I tried to get in contact with them.

Hello Outdoorgrl,
I am from Pensacola, FL and I know that Dr. Jeffrey Lord will not do fills if you go to Mexico. You may check with the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. I can't wait unitl I have to worry about a fill. I have not been banded yet. I go for my first visit on March 17th.

Hi,
I don't have the LAP-BAND® but hope to get it sometime in the future. If you are in the Gainesville area you should definitley try North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville across from the Oaks Mall. They are awesome!!! This is like the best hospital within a few hours distance. The have a lot of bariatic surgeons there. I hope this helps! Good luck!
