If there's anyone out there who lives in North East Texas or its surrounding areas, and you are considering the Lap Band surgery, AND are looking for a surgeon, consider Dr. Ron Hekier or Dr. Rachael Kaelin. They also do their own fills. Their practice isn't limited to Lap Band surgery, but a portion of their practice is dedicated to the Lap Band system and all that goes with it, including a nutritionist, etc...from the first seminar to insurance, to surgery, to follow-up care, to fills. Plus, they are really nice people.
Wadley Regional Medical Center Texarkana, TX, is the hospital of choice because it has the American Bariatric Center of Excellence {I think that's the correct wording} certification, which most, if not all, insurance companies, I believe, require that a hospital have.
