Dr. Ariel Ortiz

I am thinking of getting the lap band surgery with Dr. Ortiz. I would like to know what people think about him and how the procedure went with him. I would really apperciate any feed back.

Dr. Ortiz did my surgery Aug 2006, I am at goal and he was fabulous. I had a complicated surgery... Lap Band over bypass and he was very conscientious and did a great job. I have had no problems until last month my esphogus got irritated but my band did not slip or erode. He is great and his office is great. Good choice.

What did they do for that illness. Are you gonna get your band removed because of this?

TerryB, did you find Dr. Ortiz was as conscientious with the fills as he was with the actual surgery?

I was banded by Dr Ortiz. He and his whole staff are wonderful. The OCC is an awesome place. Surgery and my first fill went great. They really take care of you better than anywhere in the states. They will pick you up and take you to your hotel the clinic and back to the airport in San Diego. so there are no worries for you to deal with.
