Bajanor Obesity Center

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has been to the Bajanor Obesity Center in TJ for the LAP-BAND®? If so, could you give some info about the facilities and the dr's etc etc etc....I am still in the research stage of my journey, but have got the money saved and am ready to go! Thanks in advance for your input and support!

Hi Islandmom,

I almost went to Bajanour but could never get adequate responses from others who had been there to set my mind at ease. I changed at the last moment and went to Dr. Aceves in Mexicali because I got a good recommendation from others. What I had heard - from another respected Mexico clinic - was that the Bajanour clinic sometimes put in bands other than the Inamed without telling the patient this. And their experienced doctor is no longer with them (at least in late April he wasn't)

I really like Dr. Aceves - the only drawback is that it's 2 hours from San Diego and while they provide transportation from the airport, it was just a hassle...if there's availability with a clinic in Tijuana besides Bajanour, I'd look into that instead.

I paid 2k more than Bajnour's price but the peace of mind was worth it...I have had no complications.
