Happy 2 year anniversary everyone! It would be great to hear from you all and see the progress that has been made. Even though I've had a slip and been rebanded, I would do it all over again! So happy with my new body and new lifestyle. I've lost 114 pounds. Only 10 more and I'll be at goal! Why not post and tell us your favorite thing about being thinner? My favorite thing is feeling healthy and being comfortable with out my clothes on in front of my husband! Now, that is a very big deal for me! LOL

Hi I am new to this board and I guess I am the only person being banded on the 24th. I am lucky in that I work for the hospital and only live a mile from it

Patarice, Reaching for the Stars and Carollee: This thread is for bandsters that were banded in 2006. It's not a very active thread anymore. When we were all new bandsters there was lots of chatter. I would go to the 2008 section and if no one has started a September 2008 thread than you should start one. It's really helpful to have other people that are going through the same thing as you. You're going to love your lap bands. I wish you the best. If I can answer any questions for you, let me know!

HI Carollee, you are not the only one on the 24th. I am having surgery on that day and so are hawki24, mdargen, and uptownmami278. Feel free to email any of us. All of you who will be in the Denver area on 9/23 are welcome to join us. Dr. K's group will be meeting up at Ruby Tuesday's at 14100 East Iliff Avenue in Aurora, CO on Tuesday the 23rd at 6:30 pm.

All family/support members and children are also invited. Just let me know how many will come if you want to join by 6pm so I can get the seating set up. email me and I'll send my contact information to you. The number to the restaurant is 303-368-4757.

Everyone is invited ...for any other Dr. K patients or others who are LAP-BAND® patients in the area. I will be wearing a bright green shirt and I have red hair and black rimmed glasses so you'll have an easy time picking me out. I'll also let the hostess know that there is a group of Dr. K patients coming in so you won't have to be looking around.

I am not doing well at all. I only lost 50lbs since the surgery and have gained back 20. I am working with a therapist to get back on tract.

Thanks for your concern, I just can't believe I have slipped back into my old habits. My problem with the band is I have no problem eating candy, cookies, chips, but I throw up vegs or anything healthy. It's very frustrating.
