My doctor didn't ask me to do a pre opt diet. All he ask is for me to lose 5lbs. I tried to go on a liquid diet yesterday. I made it thru the whole day then i gave out and had a weight watchers dinner. I wish you all the best going thru your liquid diet. I know now that it isn't easy. So just stick to it.

Canada Sunshine- I had my first "slimey, salty, chocolate water with an after taste like rubber" protein drink this morning. Yeah. Pretty gross. I feel your pain.

Hi, My date is July7th in Toronto, Ontario. I've been on the pre op diet of cottage cheese and yogurt for 6days now. I know I'm in ketosis as my mouth always tastes bad! I can't wait to get to the clear fluids! Good luck to everyone!
for all the worriers out there. its not as bad as you are probably thinking it is.
I wouldn't say i am in any pain but i am having odd twitchings and weird feeling.
Other than that I think i'm going to get thru this healing process quickly.
So glad to see you made it through just fine July5th!!
I thought of you and all our other surgery buddies when I was waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. So nice to have friends in the same boat.
