Woohoo, went to the cardiologist today and I lost another 9 lbs, so that makes 20 lbs lost since surgery on November 2nd and 29 lbs lost including pre-surgery diet. My cardio doc was happy too cause my blood pressure was good. He wanted to do a recheck because the surgeon has removed the water pill from my bp meds since he said the diet was enough of a water pill. so, all is good. I have an appointment with the nutritionist on Monday. Hopefully I can move to the next stage!

So I'm two months post-op. I've been doing really well and have lost about 30 pounds. My total weight loss is 50. I'm right at 187. I feel like I'm doing great but I also feel depressed. I don't know if it's because of other things going on in my life or delayed depression from the surgery. My mom wanted to know why I wasn't more depressed right after. For the whole first month I was so happy all the time. Now I'm down in the dumps. I miss certain foods, like risotto. I'm sure that I could have...

I know this is my second blog today, but I haven't been on in a bit, so got to catch up.

Anyway, Thursday night, after my first fill and only able to eat mushies, my office had a small party and was having a meatball contest. Well as you know, can't quite eat beef yet. And of course a lot of alcohol was being served.

I have to report, it wasn't as hard as i thought it was going to be. I got roped into serving the judges with one of my colleagues. That meant cutting...

Food, Fat, Focus, Falls, Finances, and Floods


Lost 2 more lbs. I'm at 178 lbs, 11 lbs from goal. I just bought a few tops that are size large. I'm aftraid by the time I reach goal they may be too loose. I bought a pair of jeans that are low cut in a size 12. They fit my butt and thighs really nice but now they're a little loose. I'm hoping they all shrink in the wash. I'm going to end up having to buy more clothes if they don't shrink....

Last night my wife and kids came home from the High School playoff game where they were working concessions. They walk in with two boxes full of hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, pickles, chili and start eating them and I had to help pack and freeze some of the burgers and dogs. I did not say anything when wife asked me to help, but I got aggrivated and very snappy. I felt I could not walk away and not help, but standing there wrapping up this great smelling food after being on my liquid pre op diet now...
