I need to schedule one of those too. I am self pay on my banding, but I feel tired all the time too. Unfortunatley the weight is probably the factor in the apnea, so good luck. I hope your insurance company sees Lap Band as a solution!!!Posted 06-02-2008 at 09:33 AM by lotzasunshine

My insurance paid for the surgery because of my sleep apnea! Good luck, be persistant and it will all work out. I'm in Texas with United health care and didnt have any problem getting aproval for the sleep apnea test.

I will make an appointment with a pulmonologist to get my sleep study. Please double check with your insurance if you need a referral to a specialist.
I had my Lap Band with Connecticut Surgeons Center for Obesity Surgery and all patients must schedule consultations with a nutrition consult, pulmonary consult, psychiatric consult and cardiac consult.Posted 06-02-2008 at 01:04 PM by bxlisa

I have had a sleep study- it was no big deal. I have had a cpap for the last two years and its helped. Good luck to you!
I was banded last week & I'm so happy I went for it! I've been contemplating it for the past few years.Posted 06-02-2008 at 05:55 PM by okie_diva
