Banded Monday, home by 5:30 that night. It's now Thursday and I'm doing okay. Some pain with the gas but not too horrible. More irritating than anything else. Using the Gas-x strips and that helps. The thing that surprised me though is the constipation. UGH! This is like nothing I've ever experienced before. Finally got a little relief this AM. I've added some PlumSmart to my list of things to drink during the day to help. I hope it helps soon!!

Well, it's finally here!!

It's the night before surgery. Coming up on 11PM. Amazingly, I'm not nervous at all. I'm sure that will change by morning!

I'm calm and ready to go. I've packed my bag. My dress is out and ready for me to wear. My mom arrived this evening to be with DD tomorrow while DH is with me. We need to be up by 4AM to be at Kaiser by 6AM. Surgery is 8AM. I'll be the first on the table. So. I'm ready!

Well, good night. And I'll "see" you on the other side...

I want food!!!

It's the night of day 3 of my 10 day, all liquid, 800 calorie diet. I shouldn't say ALL liquid. I can only have shakes and no-cal drinks. No soup, no nothing. I WANT FOOD!! It's hard but I'm not going to cave. Dr. did say to use my powdered protein if I could as well. I'm really tempted to see if I can find a very low or no fat broth and add the protein powder to it. Even if I could just drink it once in awhile for something different.

I knew this was going to be hard...

I am sooo excited!

Today I started my 10 day liquid diet. I met with my surgeon and got the last details and instructions needed before surgery. Got my EKG, Chest X-ray and blood draw done! I can't believe how close surgery is!!

I'm not nervous anymore but I'm sure I'll get nervous again just before surgery. Sometime next weekend DH, DD and I are going to take off for the day and maybe go to Yosemite. I love it there and it calms me.

Okay, busy week all of a sudden!

Well, the only thing I had on the calendar this week was swim class with DD, a trip to the grocery store and my Thursday night class (only 2 of those left!). Surgery called this afternoon and now added to the week is an appointment with my PCP tomorrow for a physical for the Medical Clearance that Surgery needs and an appointment with the Surgeon on Friday. Looks like I'll be there practically all day as they are also going to do an EKG and Chest X-Ray and who knows what else!
