Well, I had my 2nd fill last Thursday (Oct 4) and got to experience my first sliming episode and first PB!! Tried to take my pills Thursday night (which I hadn't had any trouble with before) and had a major sliming (frothing at the mouth) attack!! Well, I cut out the 2 big ones and drank lots of water with all the little ones and that did the trick the next time. Also 2 nights later went out to eat; thought I was starving because we waited so long; ate too much and too fast. Spent about 15 minutes...

I can't believe I haven't updated my journal since one week post-op. I enjoy reading all the other journals, but have been lax in updating mine.

Went back and got my list of things I wanted to do, so am updating it here:
I hope to be able to do all these things when I lose some weight:
1) Ride my horse without worrying that I am breaking his back!!
Too hot, haven't even tried. He's having fun in the pasture.
2) Have the energy to clean my house and shovel...

Today is my 1 week anniversary!! Had my first post-op visit yesterday. I am down 1.5 lb from date of surgery (guess I'll take it, since I've seen others say they gained quite a bit from the surgery then lost it again. I was up 2 lbs the day after surgery and then back down. I've lost 11.5 lbs so far since first consultation. I am lucky, have not had ANY gas, incisions healing clean and not sore.

Picked tame blackberries today, humid; had to bend over to pick quite a few of them...

:clap2:Yesterday was the day! Got to the hospital about 9:00. Surgery was to be at 10:30; think I went in around 11:30. Everything went A OK! Got out, drank a bunch of little cups of water, walked around, peed, and then left for home at 6:00. Nice little hospital, great service (Clinton, Il). (Only problem pain medicine made me nauseous - had to sit and take a few deep breaths, then everything was ok)

More water the rest of the evening. Today is clear liquids- jello, sugarfree...

Well, tomorrow's the big day!! I did pretty good on my pre-op diet until the last few days. Instead of the diet frozen dinner, I had a couple salads with v/o garlic dressing, some ripe tomatoes, some fried fish. I stayed pretty well within the calories, carbs and protein allotted, but I think some days I had too much fat!!

I won't be writing in here anymore until I'm on the other side - got to get up early tomorrow to make the hour and a half trip to the hospital. See ya on the...
