| | Down, down, downNot at all. I knew I had to excerise to stay in tune with my body losing weight. I know I must do something at least 3 times per week, so I just do it. I found out that its hard to work out with a partner especially ones that like to quite early after about 10 mins. So I just truck on to the gym by my lonesome and just exercise until my heart is content, which is usually for an hour. |

| | Well Im Down 60Lbs 8 weeksYour body will fluctuate 5 pounds every day.. between water, food etc.. i wouldnt sweat 5 pds going up and down! R u working out? If u r u may be building muscle! Dont put all ur faith in the scale.. go by your clothes, inches not just the numbers on the scale ( and this is coming from a chicka) :) |

| | Banster hell???Is this your first fill? I heard it takes anywhere from 0 fills for the new band to 7 fills.. see how u feel after the last one I also was told that depends on ur activity level that you could have a small snack.. not that snacking is okay.. but if your stomach is screaming at u, common sense would think u should have a small healthy snack, maybe a lite protien shake.. just to take the edge off.. talk to ur dr.! :) |

| | Testing tomorrowI would like to say good luck to you. You can do this. My doctor didnt require a diet before surgury. All my doctor said was no eating after midnight the night before surgury. After surgury I was SUPPOSE to be on liquids for 2 weeks but I went to mushie after 1 week because I could not take it anymore. I had 2 weeks ago tomorrow and I have lost 20 pounds so far. Mostly all I eat is mashed pot. and mac and cheese. I eat slow, chew well and I have no problems. Good luck! |

| | Nothing wrong with starting over!AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love seeing you not be so hard on yourself again. You mention the issue of not smoking, you did not mention the double move in what 6 months? The quitting your job after 10+ years........and the impact that had on your life, both emotionally and financially. ALL that causes stress! And you dealt with it, and you did not smoke, and you did not give up. You gained 30 pounds! The same 30 you probably would have gained without a band---so now you have a way to help get it off again. And your DH has his new job, and Macy is settling in at school-----it is time for some TRACY time!!! We may have to up our cell phone plans and chat as we walk in totally different areas of the country!!! SOOOOOO proud of your new found faith in YOU!!! Love ya girl! Kat |

| | Well Im Down 60Lbs 8 weeksFantasticoWow, Richard that is great!!! I had my band placed 7/22/08, in Mobile,Al. I have lost 24lbs so far. My Dr. did not require a pre-op diet. I know what you mean about alcohol, I try to take the calories into account for the day. I only drink wine, mostly Chardanay, or White Zin. Would love a beer but rather scared to try it. Keep up the great work!! Debe |

| | First blogWell here I am finally, day one of post op! I feel like I have been kicked by a horse, mostly on the port side which I guess is to be expected. Trying to get down a protien shake but can't drink it down that fast so it is a bit of work to get it down. Since I am pretty much on rest right now reading through people blogs and success and can't wait to write my own. Will just be glad to get thru this first week from what I understand the first two are the hardest. The nice thing though is that I get to start mushy foods next week so that will be good. I feel like I want to cough a lot and I am just not sure if it is from the surgery yesterday, I am assuming it is. Other than that doing pretty well over all. I only lost 2lbs prior to surgery didn't have to do the pre op diet which was good and bad. My scale said I lost 4lb but theirs said only 2lbs so I guess I'll just meet some where in the middle. The surgery itself was pretty fast went in at 6am and was going home by 1030am which I loved. I got the lapband with a small port which I was really glad for. The Lapband looked like it would restrict better than the Realize and my Dr seemed to lean more towards the Lapband as well. My goal is to lose 80lbs so only 78lbs to go! From what I've read looks like most people really don't see much progress until week 6-8 so very excited to see some improvment there. Going to hit my treadmill and some weights more towards the end of this month. I am trying to walk around like my Dr wanted for 10mins at a time to get things working but it is hard when your sore. Will welcome any tips to get thru the first two weeks. Until next time .... Theresa WA |
