WTH is with clothes makers?

Why are pants so damned complicated to get in and out of???
I was able to pull my work pants on and off without unfastening them, but a little while ago I got them altered. Very nice...cheap and they fit great now!
But, that means I need to unbutton the inner button ...and unbutton the other inner button. And then unsnap that little metal clip thingy - both of them, then unbutton the OUTER button and then UNZIP them.
By, then I've peed my pants and need a new pair of straight-jacket-like pants.
What happened to the snap and zip?
I even have one pair that has 3 metal clippy things and 3 buttons! Why make that extra flap of material? What's the point?
I have to plan my trips to the restroom 30 minutes in advance just to disrobe.
