In a strange mood today. Mad at myself and wanting to have a pity party but that thought just makes me mad too.
I'm supposed to lose 23 pounds (10%) during this class and before surgery. No surgery date yet and that could be part of my problem.
Anyway, having a hard time losing. Although most weeks I am losing (.4 this last week) the scale continues to bounce up and down on a daily basis. I know that's normal. I try not to get too wound up in it.

I got a call today from the Bariatric Surgery Dept. I go to a Surgeon's Class on the 23rd to meet with the bypass surgeon here. I'm hoping to then find out from him what I need to do to get the band. There are now rumors that the band surgery will be coming to our area and I won't have to go to the bay area for the surgery but I'll wait to hear from the surgeon on the 23rd before making plans regarding that.
I was thinking though, that IF they are going to start doing LB here then...

Wow! What a busy month! Should have known I didn't need to stress over the round-trip plane ride with DD. She did great! She had fallen asleep during the landing in Seattle so missed it but was awake for the return trip landing in Sacramento and was awed and clapping and laughing! She had a good time with that one! She hates being cooped up all the time so I wasn't sure if she would balk and constantly getting in and out of her stroller during the airport stuff and then not being able to to...

It's late. Leg hurts and the Advil hasn't kicked in yet. Can't get comfortable so no use going to bed and keeping DH awake. So I thought I'd read through everything I missed since I'd been here last and write in my blog.
My daughter is going to be 2 at the end of May. Next Thursday she and I are driving up to my mom's (3 1/2 hrs away) to spend the night. Then the 3 of us are getting on an AIRPLANE and flying to Seattle for the weekend.

Wow! Sometimes it seems likes it's moving fast and sometimes it seems slow. I've completed my dietition appt and my psych eval. All went well and shrink is going to approve me for surgery. He was great and if I ever need to talk, I have no problems giving him a call.
Weirdest thing with the shrink, though. I had to educate him on the band. He likend it to a rubber band around the stomach. I actually equate it more to a zip-tie with pillows on the inside. I think he was thrilled...
