Well, the only thing I had on the calendar this week was swim class with DD, a trip to the grocery store and my Thursday night class (only 2 of those left!). Surgery called this afternoon and now added to the week is an appointment with my PCP tomorrow for a physical for the Medical Clearance that Surgery needs and an appointment with the Surgeon on Friday. Looks like I'll be there practically all day as they are also going to do an EKG and Chest X-Ray and who knows what else!

Okay, I've calmed down a little now. Had class tonight and managed to lose another .6 this last week. Was a little worried b/c I'd had a HUGE loss last week of almost 4 lbs! I had bronchitis and wasn't really hungry so I wasn't sure what would happen this week when my appetite came back. It did but not with a vengeance like it normally does. I think I'm getting used to less food now. Finally!
Now I'm going to be worried every time I have to weigh in. They told me on the phone...

I've got a surgery date!!!! August 25th!!! I'm so excited!!! It seems amazing to me to finally have a surgery date! I literally just got the phone call. Called DH at work and then called my mom at work and now I'm posting here! Well, okay, I started a new thread first! NOW I'm posting here!
Oh My Gosh!!! My brain is just going a million miles a minute!
Okay, I'm just going to close for now. I just don't even know what to type and I'm not doing a great job...

Okay. Where to start. I guess with a week ago last Thursday (the 17th).
Got a phone message in the AM to call Kaiser's Surgery Dept ASAP. Kinda weird but okay. Call to see what's going on.
Her: They want to do your surgery on Monday the 28th and can you come down tomorrow (Friday the 18th) to meet with the surgeon?
Me: Umm, excuse me?! I'm not doing bypass, I'm doing LAP-BAND® and he's not starting those surgeries til the end of the year at the...

Okay! Had the Surgeon's Class tonight. Went well. Found out they ARE bringing a LAP-BAND® surgeon to the program!! I won't have to go to the bay area now, 3 hrs away! They are hoping to have the after-care team up and running by the end of the year. Don't know that I'll be able to get in that soon but I'll keep in contact with the dept and just keep calling every month or so after I've lost my 10% so I can get in to see the new surgeon and get scheduled as soon as possible.
