I want food!!!

It's the night of day 3 of my 10 day, all liquid, 800 calorie diet. I shouldn't say ALL liquid. I can only have shakes and no-cal drinks. No soup, no nothing. I WANT FOOD!! It's hard but I'm not going to cave. Dr. did say to use my powdered protein if I could as well. I'm really tempted to see if I can find a very low or no fat broth and add the protein powder to it. Even if I could just drink it once in awhile for something different.
I knew this was going to be hard but I didn't expect it to be this hard! I was almost in tears tonight. I think a lot of it is just a mourning for food. But some of it is just being already tired of the shakes. I'm looking forward to after surgery when I'm not very hungry. I'll have 2 weeks of this same diet after surgery as well.
Okay, well, I guess that's it. Nothing I can do about it and I just needed to vent a little. Goodnight!

It does get a little easier heartfire! The first 3 days are generally the worst! I started to feel better about day 4.
That is of course until someone cooks some REALLY yummy smelling Thai food and eats it under your nose! Damn work colleagues :)~ But you can do it!! It isn't really that long in the scheme of things! STAY STRONG!Posted 08-18-2008 at 06:11 AM by Roheryn

You're all so wonderful!
Heartfire, I haven’t been banded yet, but my h
eart goes out to you. I had a hysterectomy almost six years ago, and I had to be on a two-day liquid diet, so I’ve had a little taste of what’s to come, and that was hard. I’ll keep you in my thoughts, and wish you the best on the way to getting your band.Posted 08-18-2008 at 05:26 PM by serenity55
