Glimmer of Hope

Posted 08-29-2008 at 07:20 AM by Florida Pete
So after finding out that my insurance will not cover the surgery and that disappointment I informed my family of what has transpired. Each one has come back to saying that maybe the family could all come together to help me get the surgery done after all. This really is different since I have never seen this kind of support from my family. I don't know that anything is really going to come out of this but it does bring a glimmer of hope to my life for this. I need to talk to each of them more about...

Posted 08-29-2008 at 12:22 AM by Carly (Lap-band life in the desert)
Well, my life as a Bandster has just begun! I arrived at the hospital at 6 a.m. yesterday with my amazing folks (who flew in from KY to be with me - what a blessing!) I'm on the other side!

Posted 08-28-2008 at 07:43 PM by heartfire (My thoughts along my journey.)

Banded Monday, home by 5:30 that night. It's now Thursday and I'm doing okay. Some pain with the gas but not too horrible. More irritating than anything else. Using the Gas-x strips and that helps. The thing that surprised me though is the constipation. UGH! This is like nothing I've ever experienced before. Finally got a little relief this AM. I've added some PlumSmart to my list of things to drink during the day to help. I hope it helps soon!!
