I haven't posted in a while

been busy yada yada

so here's where I am
I had my first fill yesterday 07/17

everyone has this spot or spots that
you can really judge how well you are losing
weight
mine is this a space above my tookus
which is getting smaller and smaller
and there were 2 creases at the back of my
arms that used to be behind my arms
are now in my pits...

I've never done this before so here it goes. I'm 1 week post op and yesterday I felt like I had turned a corner. I have little pain left under my incision though my skin is still numb. I ate an egg (substitute) today and boy was it tasty. Even 45 minutes later, cold, it still was good. It felt good to chew. I've reviewed my diet and am not getting enough protein in. I bought Herbal Life protein drink and started on that instead of Carnation. It has 30 more calories but way more protein....

I was just looking at my signature line. I have the counter for my weight(of course) plus the count-downs for my trip to Bermuda and the Triathlon.
I realized that A: the trip is a gift to me from my husband for taking the steps necessary for better health & B:the Triathlon is a gift to myself for taking the steps necessary for better health. C: if I keep on my current loss rate I will be half way to my goal by the time A & B happen.
That is special.:biggrin2:

I gave my noticed to my work early today because i am going to have surgery on the 4th of august. I just got home and i am feeling so down because of the reaction of everyone in my work place. The word of me having the lap band surgery travelled like wild fire. I went to a company meeting this afternoon i had this coworker tell "its important to love yourself the way god made you and you only 23 you young i am sure if you keep trying you will not need to go that far". Hi, I am new to blogging and am new to lap-band. So this will be a total learning experience. I have an endoscopy procedure tomorrow and I can't say I am looking forward to that, but, it's the last test before my final doctor's appointment next week. Surgery is scheduled for the 28th.
