Today was full of stress, I guess you could say. I found out that a coworker and friend posted her “anger” at me for not telling her I was going through with the lap band surgery. She didn’t mention my name, but when I saw the title of her thread I knew what it was about. She called me today and is acting as though nothing was wrong. She probably feels safe because I haven’t visited the site to which we both belong for quite some time.

Well to day is a happy day.. today is monday I will be banded on wednesday.. I have worked so hard to this point just to be approved the emotional stress was more sometimes then I thought I could bare but I did and I made it... I made it through the liquid diet and the apointments the 1 1/2 hour drive sometimes 3 times a month the putting my life on hold for the past 6 months. I am ready now to have a healthy life. Well, it is day 4. I am still hungry, miserable, and have a growing hatred for Slimfast. I look forward to bed time each night because it means that I have made it through another day!!!

I find myself going over the list of approved liquids again and again, like this time maybe I'll find something on there I missed before. You know, like a steak. Or whatever. But no, the list remains the same and is only filled with crappy stuff.

Today I drove for 5 hours to the Midlands to get a fill. In October 2007, at 14 weeks pregnant, I was left with 2mls in my band after the nausea and sickness got the better of me and I had a defill. I put 30lbs on during the pregnancy and 7lbs since his arrival. I feel horrible. Although I wouldn't change my son for anything (even 100lbs on!!) but I was so close to getting to a sub 25 BMI.
