Well today is my second post op day and no where near as bad as I imagined. I do have to say thouhg that recovery was theworst pain ever.I had gas bubble the size of a water ballon on the little xray, so of course half asleep and on pain meds I had to walk to get it out. I am still having some gas pain, but nothing like that day. I went in on my surgery date with losing 20 pds on the pre liquid diet. I was excited about that.

hi there everyone
i am new to the site
just found out that my band has a possible leak, i had it 12-17-07 and have lost 73 pounds. i want and need 60-65 more.i hope it is not leaking! i find out friday! spooky! i will get it replaced if i have to, but i am hoping for the best. i never heard a thing on this till now! it is soooooo scary, i really do not want to go back for a surgery, but................

When I get worried that I am not losing very much weight, losing too slow, or that I can't see a difference in the mirror, I get dressed in an outfit that I couldn't wear a few months ago. Take a few pictures and compare. It really helps to see them side by side to see a difference. I encourage EVERYONE to take lots of pictures before banding so that you have great pics to compare with.

Take pictures every few weeks. It is kinda like a picture journal.

Ahhh....I have not blogged in a little while, so thought I should jot a few thoughts down. Today was the first day I could get on my scale and not wear the boot for my broken ankle and leg bones.....I was very excited as it said I have now lost 34 pounds! Then I put the boot back on. I am transitioning out of the boot, I either have to use crutches or the boot. I'm healing up nicely though, I am happy to say.

The lap-band is something that has now been 9 and a 1/2 weeks for me...

This is what I came up with today, while fighting the cookie monster at work. But I didn't have any. And I feel like I really get it--it's time to stop talking and doing. But I'm still a mass of contradictions, or so it seems.
