I went to GNC today and found a liquid Amino protein that is going to help me get the protein I need after surgery. They also have herbal liquid iron, which claims not to constipate.

I also bought the Trader Joe's soy protein powder in vanilla. Yuck! Chalky! I added Wyler's Lite fruit punch to make it easier to swallow. I may just stick to soy milk and add the amino protein. It HAS to taste better.

I made a mistake today and tried to eat just protein drinks and ended...

Jury duty!
I got placed on a jury. A BIG, ugly case.
I am not a happy camper. Im told it will last at least 4 weeks.
This will really put a crimp in my training schedule. I just ramped up to 3 times a week and I had a really good time slot. Now I will probably lose the time slot and I will have to train at night and on the weekend.
Not to mention stress eating. This will be a good test of my new habits.

On the bright side I got a new wash machine and dryer....

Hi Everyone.

I had my lapband surgery last monday the 9th of June. So far its been going well. Some days I feel weak because for the 1st 2 weeks I am on liquids. I weigh myself and I dropped 11 pounds. it's not easy. I had my stomach worked on not my sense of smell and everything smells sooooooo good now that I can't eat it. It's even harder because I have a daycare and I have to feel the children. My kids are being very helpful by not eating in from of me and I find myself watching...

It never occured to me that I had changed that much. But I had. I saw a picture of me at Christmas, a month after my band surgery..I was so swelled up! I can't believe that I hadn't noticed it as time has went by. But you know what? It sure was a pleasant surprise. I don't think I'll be hiding so much from the camera anymore.

Well I got banded June 2, 2008. I have lost 5lbs. Have lots more to go. Still havn't felt much restriction. Hopefully I will be feeling it when I get my first fill July 11. Well be bloging again soon. Bye.
