Into June...

Well here I am headed past the 1st month, and have had my first fill. It does restrict a lot more, and I am glad. I think I can still eat too much but am losing some so am happy. I use this site to keep me focused. I am so scattered with a lot of business decisions and need this. I have one person that knows I have a band and she is a bit jealous I think. Not my problem, I just did this for me, and I want it to work. I will try to remember the TOPS motto from when I was a teen and dieting from 147...

Renewed hope

Posted 06-14-2008 at 03:59 PM by Telecia
Well I finally saw the new doctor yesterday. Spent 2 hours on the first visit just getting the baseline stuff down. he ordered a ton of tests. Changed some of my perscriptions. And we talked about alot of things.

OMG my new doc is a DISH! LOL.

Right now his take on my increasing mobility problems/weight is that he has ordered hydrotherapy. To increase strength and stamina so that I can hopefully start getting in more daily excersise.

Asthma and weight loss

Posted 06-14-2008 at 09:15 AM by kansascase
My pulmonary doctor told me that since I was carrying too much weight on my chest that it couldn't expand properly and that is why my peak flow is quite low and I am quite short of breath.

Is there anybody out there that as been banded awhile and had this particular circumstance? I really had a asthma problem after the anesthesia - had to start taking breathing treatments for a couple of weeks.

How long did it take to see an improvement in your asthma?

Thanks,...

I find it really interesting that so many people in life step up to the plate a criticize fat people.... F.A.T. - forever a target? I wonder.

For the first time in a long time, I reached maximum bullshit capacity. Yes, a healthy weight is wonderful. And this journey of weight loss is beautiful...

It is important for me and perhaps others of a like hearted nature... to remember inner beauty. I do believe that those...

Living with the Lapband for almost 4 years now

Posted 06-14-2008 at 07:19 AM by Tricia
Boy how time flies!

As I approach my 4 year Bandiversary, I started thinking how the Lapband has changed my life or how I had to change my life to live with the Lapband.

First off, I thank God every day for showing me there was an option and giving me the opportunity to have the Lapband procedure.

Like most in my situation, I tried every diet that always ended in failure. I almost got to the point where I wouldn't want to diet because I KNEW I would...
