I got my first appointment with the surgeon at Fairfield Bariatrics today. The secretary said that they had verified my insurance and I am covered.

My first appointment is on July 3rd 2008 and I cannot wait. I received my benefit package from Oxford Health and it said that as long as the surgeon authorizes the lap band procedure, then it is covered. It also stated that I don't need to see a psychiatrist.

Everything is going really well and faster than I expected....

I'm down three pounds this week. That means I've lost the couple of pounds I gained plus some. I feel better for working out more. My workout is getting easier and I'm going to have to bump it up a notch soon to keep the challenge going. The next thing I'll add in the coming week will be weights. I'll just keep plugging along and doing the best I can. Afterall, that's all I can do.

I'm sort of in between sizes right now. So my new mini goal is to drop into that next size...

So today I weigh 221. I had surgery 12/17/07. I have had 4 fills and have another one planned on the 24th of this month. I don't think I'll have much put in I still want to be able to eat. I still get that "hungry" feeling about 20min after eating a meal and that bugs me. I start looking for something and I never know what "it" is. Drives me nuts. I'm feeling pretty good but I wish that the weight would come off faster, but it's not going to if I don't get off my ass and DO something...
