I rarely post here because all of my entries are on live journal. I find that forum easier to write in that this one.

I don't have many friends over there, but that's not the point of my journal.

I wonder if it would do better over here, if I should be connecting to people going through the same thing as I am rather than "go it alone"?

I'm not alone really. I have family and friends supporting me in this, but there are times they can't get the...

Waiting is not my forte'.... LOL

Posted 05-07-2008 at 03:44 PM by rondawood63
I am sitting here waiting on the insurance company to approve the surgery so I can start my new life! I am so excited about this procedure.

I have had weight issues since I was abused by a family member when I was approx. 10 years old. I guess I decided to hide behind the weight and it would protect me. But it started coming on when I was in the 5th grade. Up until then I was thin. In fact, my mom told me that when I was a baby they had to take me to the doctor because...

Reading more on the insurance I will have on June 1, 2008

Posted 05-07-2008 at 10:26 AM by mariem
It is BC/BS of Massachusetts, Blue Care Elect Preferred (PPO)
I have googled this a lot today and have found that as long as there is an exclusion for WLS there seems to be no problem getting banded. (I HOPE!!)
I dont think the employer would put a specific exclusion for WLS because what I am reading it sounds as if they pulled no stops at making sure they have a great policy. Soooooo unlike my husband's current (nearly former) employer.

Questions about long term food restrictions

Posted 05-07-2008 at 10:14 AM by nonnadiana
I am in the process of working my way through the pre surgical workups. I hope to have my surgery this summer. I will visit my surgeon on Mon. 5/12. What I want to know I'm afraid to ask because I don't want him to think I'm not commited.

will I never be able to eat pasta or bread again. told it would swell and block me. I am willing to make the changes needed to lose the weight but I can't imagine the rest of my life w/o these items. I'm Italian very Italian.
I hope...
