Hello everyone! I am new and considering the band. I went to a seminar on 5/28/08 in Houston, TX. I received quite a bit of information, but I am very scared to move forward. My husband's insurance will cover the procedure. I really want some solid food. It's only been 9 days since my surgery, and I am starving. I am trying to watch my liquids because I think I may be drinking too close to eating and therefore washing my food out too soon. The idea of eating is exciting, but then I get a lump in my throat, even when I have a rumbling in my stomach. The hospital called today and did my registration by phone! I've been pre-admitted. One more thing to make a checkmark by.

I go on the pre-op diet in 3 days. I'm ready - ready to get it done.

I do think its weird that my appointments were in Richardson, my surgeon is in Hurst and the hospital is in Decatur. All of which is at least a 2 hour drive for me. But it will be worth it.
