hey everyone!!! i had the french midband placed in dec 07. i have only lost about 20lbs though. dr. de la garza in monterrey placed it. he was wonderful!!! i did my research but i had not heard of the midband until i got to monterrey. doc said that since i had so much scar tissue (from previous open RNY) the midband would be better option. i didn't know i could not get a fill for it in the u.s. i haven't had a fill yet because i would have to go back to mexico. does anyone know of a good place,...

Today, after spending time in the chat where many people have come to either say they can't do the liquid diet anymore and are switching to mushies or cheating, then going through with the surgery anyway (or they were just post op) and also hearing from people who did this and can tell us all how destructive it is...Today I make a vow!

I had my surgery January 17, 2008 and I have lost 25 lbs which feels sooooooo good. I have lost my motivation but will soon have my third fill on Tuesday so I hope that helps. I have been able to eat what ever I want and I stopped paying attention to the band rules. HELP! I don't want to have done this for nothing. I am stressed right now and finding it hard to resist snacking.
I hope my fill on Tuesday will reign me back in so I can't eat as much.

Living My Dream

I'm having problems with my pre-op diet. I do have an OrangeCrystal light drink in the mornings but I'm too full to drink water or just forget to drink some. I don't want to get dehydrated.

Today is my fifth day and I really surprise I don't crave for solid foods. I even went to BJ's Wholesale Club today with my husband and I was able to walk pass those food samplers with no problem.

It's a little shock that I had more will power than I thought all along....

DOES ANYONE HAVE PROMBLEMS EATING OR DRINKING? WELL I FEEL LIKE I HAVE SOMETHING STUCK EVERY TIME I EAT OR SOMETIMES WHEN I DRINK. I HAD MY FIRST FILL IN FEB-08 .I DID OK. EATING SOUP AND SALAD. ALSO I COULD DRINK COFFEE AND SMOOTHIES.NOW THEY ARE HARD TO GET DOWN. THIS MAY SOUND GROSS.BUT I FEEL LIKE I HAVE GOT TO BURP,BUT ALL THAT COMES UP IS MUCUS.DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS PROMBLEM?
