I launched LapBandTalk the night I came home from the hospital after I underwent Lap-Band® procedure, with the goal of connecting people who might offer each other encouragement and the joy of shared experience. I didn’t anticipate that my website would become the largest and most visited online discussion forum about Lap-Band® surgery, but it did.

I've been reading many posts lately from members wondering about the differences between the Realize Band and LAP-BAND® System. My first suggestion to these members is to contact their surgeon and ask them to explain their level of experience with each band and what the differences are for the bands.
