Astrasmom's Story
I have been over weight for most of my life. I'm also an open heart surgery patient who in 2001 had an Aortic Anuerysm repair and valve replacement. I have to get it done again in another year. My cardiologist kept telling me that if I don't do something to lose weight I have a great chance of dieing on the table. I'm also tired of not being able to walk without having to take a break because I'm out of breath. I'm basically tired of feeling fat. So on Oct. 23, 2009 I took the plunge and got banded. It was the best thing that I could have ever done. I have already lost more then I did when I was at Weight Watchers. This time I won't gain it back again. I'm enjoying the foods that I eat. What I'm really enjoying is that 4oz fill me up instead of 2 plates like it was before.

Dr. Reich is an awesome doctor who explains everything up front to you. He makes you ask questions and his bed side manner is great. Everything went so smoothly. His entire staff are like part of your family. Everyone of them is caring and answers any question that you might have.
