I began to gain weight in my early twenties. I became my heaviest last fall and hit my peak in March 2009 at 285 lbs. I was having heart problems and knew I had to do something. I've researched the lap-band procedure for 3 years so I was prepared to take that step. Five months later and 80 lbs lighter, I am getting ready to set up my surgery.
