Someday I will write a big, long story - when I am a size 7! Right now it's only been 5 short months since surgery, almost 9 months since I started my pre-op diet - and I'm only down like 95 pounds. OMG I HAVE LOST ALMOST 100 LBS. in WAY less than a year! Who says RNY is faster?? Here are some so-far facts: BP before starting pre-op diet, 200/100. Medications: Atenolol & Hydrochlorothiazide (those are just the BP ones). BP last Saturday: 110/70. Medications: None. NONE! Of ANY kind!!! BMI at start: 46. at surgery: 42. Last Saturday: 30 (almost 29, no longer "obese!") Pants size at start: 22/24. Pants size now: 12 or 14. Miles per day then: 4. Miles per day now: 8 to 15. Chins at start: 3. Chins now: Just the one! I wasn't using the other two anyways :-)

Dr. Baggs is very well educated in advanced lapband and is kind and personable. He is a very positive, reassuring doctor and made the whole process fun. He has a great sense of humor & wit. His fills do not hurt, either! I highly recommend him if you have the chance to choose your surgeon through the Kaiser system.
