I have always struggled with my weight.  ALWAYS!  Pretty much the same story as everyone else.  I have tried every diet and pill there is.  One day I was reading on a forum I belonged to for stepmoms and lady mentioned she needed a fill.  I asked her what she meant and after she explained it to me she gave me the number and website for the doctor she had used.  It was pretty much balls to the wall from there.  She sent me pictures of herself and of her friends that had also used the same doctor.  That was it.  No turning back or changing my mind.  I learned about lapband and the doctor in August of 2007 and had surgery Oct 4, 2007.  I am so happy with my decision to do it.  I would have the fight with my husband all over again, every day, to get this and be where I am now.  I have had struggles and problems along the way.  It is such a hard journey.  In August of 2008 I had to have all my fill removed and was empty until December.  In that time I also had a hysterectomy.  Now I am dealing with trying to get the hormone thing all figured out.  I have had many bumps and stops and "what the hell was I thinking" moments along the way.  But I would not change any of it.  I still have a few pounds to lose to get to my goal weight.  I thought I would be there alot sooner!  But at least I am close.
