My story isn't a very long one. I've always been a very chubby child but around my junior/senior year of high school i gained almost 90 lbs in 7 months. My mother has a lot of health problems including a 5-way bypass, pacemaker and 2 metal valves in her heart and she had all of these before she was 45 years old. She also had the gastric bypass and so I made the choice to have weight loss surgery to better my health and since I was young I chose the lapband which is more reversible and adjustable(and slower lol). After having surgery I actually now have 3 diseases, hypothyroidism, PCOS and trigeminal neuralgia. I'm not even 20 yet and I'm so glad that I had this surgery because who knows how many health problems I could have had. I have dropped about 60 lbs, lowered my cholesterol by A LOT!, dropped 5 pant sizes, 4 shirt sizes, and I'm so much happier and healthier.
