Lady Lap Band's Story
My story begins about two years ago... I was watching TV and I saw the roaring lion commercial by Lap Band. I was 20 yrs old at the time & had been struggling w/ my weight for as long as I could remember. I began looking into whether or not my insurance covered bariatric surgery. They did, I got excited but began to put doubt into my mind very quickly w/ thoughts such as "They'll never approve you," & "You are probably just destined to be fat forever." My own self hatred squashed my dream & I put it away for about 1 year. I got married this past September (2008) & had been trying to loose weight, but was unsuccessful. I was what I had always dreaded being, a fat bride! I saw my wedding photos about 1 month later & was horrified. I went onto LapBand.com and gathered all the information I could. I attended the next seminar that fit into my schedule (Dec. 2008) & the rest is history, I was banded on June 19, 2009!

Overall I am very pleased with Dr. Sillin. He is a very sweet man, very caring. He always made sure to answer all my questions, explain to me all of my options, and made sure I knew what I was getting myself into. As far as the surgery goes, he did a great job, I had no complications. I am only 6 days post op but everything is healing well and Dr. Sillin and his office are only a phone call away if needed. You will love him and Lahey Clinic!
