I became disabled in 1997 due to poor circulation in my legs. A problem that I have had for many years and It just became unbearable. This led to a very sedentary lifestyle and this caused my weight to bloom to over 500lbs. I decided to have WLS in late 2006 and attended a seminar that december. Then followed 2 years of frustration and heartache. It seemed like the universe conspired to keep me from getting the surgery. I lost both my mother and my grandmother, and neerly died myself from a strangulated hernia. Finlay I got all my exams complete and got a surgery date of March  9th, 2009! The surgery went very well and I was up and walking within hours. Pain was very manageable and I went home the next morning.I took 4 fills to achieve proper restriction and it has been frustrating getting to this point but the weight is still coming off. I have lost 100lbs and am looking forward to loosing several hundred more. I was excited when I was able to get my wedding ring back on. Now I cant wear it because it falls off my finger. Same with cloths. I will find a pair of pants in the back of my closet and get excited when they fit, few weeks later they are falling off me. Lol. Highest weight: 538Surgery weight: 486
