My heaviest weight before being pregnant was 255. I had finally made a decision to get the gastric bypass, but believe it or not on the very next day I found out I was pregnant. Though I was happy about the pregnancy I constantly worried about how much more weight I would gain. I only gained 15lbs  putting me at 270. Once I had my baby-girl I struggled to lose weight again with numerous diets and fads. Once I reached my highest weight of 280 I made the chose to get lap-band surgery. I chose the lap-band because the thought of having my insides rearranged just did not sit well with me and I did not want to drop weight so drastically.On April 18, 2008 I got the surgery and have not looked back since. I am 37lbs. from my ideal weight and working very hard to reach my goal!
