I was fortunate enough not to have to do a pre-op diet. I had several "last" meals. So I understand where your coming from. But, like CyndiLou says, The liver is very close while doing surgery and some Dr's feel more comfortable havinf shrunk the liver. You can see the surgery performed from the link on my website. During the procedure, they show where the liver is while the banding is being done. Best of luck. :)
