If it melts to a liquid form when left out, I was told I could use it. You might look for some powder protein supplements, and really bump your shake up some! When you get past the full liquid diet, you can add a tablespoon or so of peanut butter to the chocolate shakes---it tastes good and is good for you! But hang on for that for a few days. You can also use a spoon full of SF pudding mix to flavor things up differently. Kat
