Thanks everyone for your responses! I am glad to be reassured by everyone that I was not overreacting and that this lady was really in the wrong.

I do plan on doing something about it, though. I was told to expect a survey and comment card in the mail, so I will be letting the people at the facility know what happened. I think I am going to write a letter also. That lady needs to know what she did was unacceptable.
