Has anyone been prescibed phentermine by their surgeon? I was banded April 28th, 2008. Because my weight loss was slower than normal my surgeon prescribed phentermine which is a weight loss drug that has been used for many years. I was a little discouraged thinking that the band isn't working. Been on phentermine for 1 month have dropped 15lbs. I go in Jan 13th for my 6th fill. Total weight loss is 45lbs. Again I'm a little concerned because I don't want to be taking this drug too long and what happens when the drug stops?
